Meet Joey
Joey, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, and Registered Social Security Analyst, has been working in the financial advisory business since 1996.
Joey is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a BS in Economics and Finance. Prior to Global View, Joey began his career at Merrill Lynch.
Joey enjoys helping clients transition into a comfortable retirement. Joey takes the lead role in the financial planning process. He doesn’t rest until he has dotted every i and crossed every t. He leads clients through a goal-setting process, implementing financial plans, and gaining an understanding of estate planning and charitable giving.
He goes the extra mile to make sure every new client we take on gets the best possible, comprehensive service. He works closely with client’s other professionals. He often meets with estate planning attorneys and accountants with other planning staff.
And because life is what happens when you are making other plans, he helps clients adapt their plans as relationships mature.
Many clients come to Global View seeking clarity around some of life’s biggest financial decisions, including whether they are ready to retire. Joey enjoys helping clients navigate these important transitions and new opportunities with confidence.
Joey is a member of the Greenville Estate Planning Council and has long been involved with Miracle Hill Ministries, where he previously served on the Governing Board and chaired the investment committee. He currently teaches a financial planning class and is a mentor for their addiction recovery program, Overcomers and Renewal.
He has also served on the Greenville Leadership Council for the South Carolina Christian Foundation, the Board of Directors for the Spartanburg Community College Foundation, and the Union County Economic Development Board. For his contributions, Joey was recognized by Governor Nikki Haley as an Ambassador of Economic Development for South Carolina.
When he is not working or volunteering, Joey can be found working on his land or in the mountains. He and his wife, Kathryn, are lifetime residents of South Carolina and are actively involved at Cedar Shoals Baptist Church.
